Diese zwei Teller werden im Set verkauft, da sie während des Brandes ineinander gestapelt waren und deshalb auch ähnliche Oberflächenmerkmale auf der Außenseite aufweisen. Die Muscheln, die ein Verschmelzen der Teller verhinderten, hinterließen Abdrücke auf der Innenseite der Teller.

Innen: seidenmatte, weiße Glasur. Ascheablagerungen sorgen für silbergraue wasserfallartige Streifen auf der Glasuroberfläche.

Außen: unglasiert. Seidenmatt, teils glänzend. Direkter Kontakt mit der Flamme während des 22-stündigen Holzbrandes sorgt für ein breites Farbsprektrum - vom Grauen bis ins Orangebraune.

Set of two stoneware side plates:

These plates are sold as a set as they were fired one inside the other, which accounts for their similar markings on the outside. The shells that were placed between the plates so as to avoid them fusing together have left imprints on the inside of the plates.

Inside: satin white glaze. Silvery grey slivers of ash modify the glaze surface.

Outside: unglazed, satin texture. Direct contact with the flame during this 22-hour firing has created the dramatic contrast between blue-grey and orange-brown on the outside of these bowls.
