Set aus zwei tiefen Steinzeugtellern, holzgebrannt. Perfekt für alles außer wenig Hunger.

Wie die kleinen Schüsseln erzählen auch diese tiefen Teller eine Geschichte. Da sie (wie abgebildet) Rand auf Rand gebrannt wurden, weißen ihre Ränder ähnliche Modifikationen vom 24-stündigen Holzbrand, dem Ascheanflug und den freigesetzten Alkalisalzen auf. Für mich ist es schlüssig, sie deshalb auch im Set zu verkaufen.

Innen: seidenmatte, rötlich schwarze Tenmokuglasur.
Außen: unglasiert vor dem Brand. Seidenmatte bis glänzende Oberfläche. Dramatische Kontraste, von braun über orange und rot bis schwarz. Zwischendrin ein paar goldene Sprenkel.

Set of two wood fired stoneware dishes. Ideal for anything as long as you’ve got an appetite.

Just like the set of two bowls, these dishes were fired rim to rim. Thus, they tell the story of a 24-hour wood firing, which has left matching marks on their rims. It makes sense to me to keep these two together, which is why I am selling them as a pair.

Inside: satin, black tenmoku glaze with a red tea-dust speckle.
Outside: unglazed before the firing; satin to shiny texture. The prolonged wood firing has deposited plenty of ash on the top bowl, while the bottom one has been modified by direct contact with the flame. The result is a dramatic contrast between orange, red, brown and black marks on the outside of both bowls, with plenty of golden speckles adding even more depth to the surface.
